David Bartlett (Founding Member)
Dave started playing guitar at age 12, mostly self-taught, about 40 years ago. His influences were Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton (Cream Disraeli Gears), Jimi Hendrix and in 1968 Jimmy Page. David saw Led Zepplin on their first US tour opening for Vanilla Fudge. Wow! Later influences were Mark Farner, Joe Walsh, Rick Derringer and Steve Howe. David attended formal music training at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore for classical guitar, 1972-73.
Dave worked all thru the south and midwest as a sideman with Columbia Recording artist Thelma Jones 1974-78. He played shows with Mothers Finest, Mike Pinera (Blues Image), The Drifters, The Clovers and Johnny Ray. Later, David played in several groups that opened for John Denver, Jimmy Buffet, and The Dirt Band. In 1978 and 79, he played with Mike Essig (formerly of Alton Street) and in the Maryland area with Foxfire, which later became Quickfire. Dave moved to South Florida in 1980 and joined the funk/rock group "Turning Point". They played gigs all over South Florida and were the studio band for Miami R&B recording artist Ron Seagram, who had them record at noted studios such as Criteria, and Quad Radial. During the 90's in the West Palm beach area, David played with popular classic rock group Dallas Star. He recorded a jingle with Dallas Star founder and bassist, Charles Cook for South Florida's largest country radio station, " WIRK's All Request Show with Dave Michaels " which aired every week night at 9PM from 1998 - 2001. In 2001, also in the West Palm area, David played bass in a duo with Robbie Park, which later became The T.O.H. Band after recording a CD with other area musicians, commemorating 911. David moved back to Maryland in 2002 and in 2003 hooked up with Alton Street, former band mates from 1973 and 74.

Our past three Lead Singers include:
Francis Bryant - Original Singer
Tony Hale - Until 2015
Don Teesdale - From 2015

Don Teesdale Soaring vocal leads and harmonies
Growing up in a very musical household, Don learned to play piano and sing from the earliest days of his memory, and never really stopped. From musical influences in church, entertainment icons at Atlantic City's Steel Pier and his family hosting many musicians over their years in hotel management, music was a main part of daily life. Don's father also drove busses for Duke Ellington Band, Tony Bennett, Dick Clark, and Sally Starr among others, As he reached career age, Don temporarily placed music career dreams on hold in order to pursue military-public service careers, as a helicopter and airplane pilot. Over these years, Don continued to sing for ceremonial events, weddings, funerals, and other events whether at churches, community locations, or any place where a song would be welcomed. In recent years he went back to college to study music through the Berklee School of Music, completing a Master Certificate in Music Theory, Harmony and Ear Training in 2010, and a Master Certificate in Writing and Producing in 2013. These certificates helped to earn a second bachelor's degree at Thomas Edison State University, as a Bachelor of Arts in Music. As a board member of Consonance USA, a non-profit, electro-music therapy organization in Maryland, Don seeks to advance this important field of research to help those who could benefit from it. Of course, every human being can benefit from helpful music. Working part time in a senior living community offered many opportunities to share music experiences with senior residents. Don started a special initiative called "Senior, Story, Song" which involved helping seniors to share stories through songwriting. He is also an avid sailor, and seeks to sail parts of the world bringing musical opportunities and songwriting as an outreach to seniors, military veterans, and first responder communities. Perhaps his future calling could be described as "Songwriters, Seniors, Service Members, Stories, Singing, Serving, Scrubbing and ReStoring and Sailing Sailboats". Since 2017, Don has also worked as a concert promoter, bringing the Irish Christmas Bel Air show to Harford County, Maryland. Don also enjoys songwriting and co-writing opportunities with some of Nashville's most accomplished writers and is thrilled to be a member of the Nashville Songwriter's Association International (NSAI). Don has much appreciation for the many good people in his life who encouraged his music dreams and instilled the passion for musical expression. Whether it was his parents who were his greatest advocates, music teachers over a lifetime, or his many musical friends, he is truly grateful for each of them. Don is also grateful for such exceptional music experiences as singing with Country Artists Kellie Pickler, Neal McCoy, and having the honor of traveling on tour in 2015 and 2016 to perform as a guest singer with his friend, world renowned Irish Tenor, Dr. Ronan Tynan. Except for occasional band experiences during overseas military deployments, singing with a live band was a new experience for Don when he first joined Alton Street Band as lead singer in 2015. Now based in Nashville, TN, Don considers singing with Alton Street Band to be a major blessing in his life.
"I've always said that I want my flying to make a difference in the world, and I feel the same way about my music. It’s all positive….so positively turn it up!"
